What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

For my product I've learnt to use multiple different technologies such:

Photoshop:

I learned lots from Photoshop, for example, how to crop images using the magic wand/quick selection tool, how to change the appearence of an image and how to use layers effectively.

Blogger and Flickr: I used these to annotate and analyse my work and real magazines. Compared to conventional methods like pen and paper, or even just typing out my analysis on Word, it feels very different. For example, on Flickr, as there is a set amount of words you can use and you need to use select areas, I found myself being quite limited as to how much I can analyse and to what extent. With Blogger, I found explaining myself and my ideas harder than if I were to write it down, which a downfall, but then again, I like Blogger and find it very useful for feedback and the way you can put words and pictures together more easily.

  1. A start but a bit thin. Can you elabortate on your learning further. For example what did you find useful about blogger/flickr compared to more traditional methods of working? Have they changed the way you work in other areas?
